Clare Blois is an oil painter whose work celebrates the powerful colours and textures of Scottish landscape and seascape through all weathers and seasons. Clare has had a studio in Inverness Creative Academy since Phase 1 opened, where she shares a space in the old Victorian school building’s original art classroom!

Here we talk to Clare about her work, her studio at Inverness Creative Academy, and her hopes for the building once it opens to the public.

Clare is supporting our #IlluminateHighlands campaign with Art Fund and Wasps Artists’ Studios alongside many other Wasps Highlands artists with a beautiful print reward, available in an exclusive box of six from Wasps artists.

Can you support our campaign? This is the last bit of funding we need after a long journey to bring the iconic Midmills buildings back to life, and transform the beautiful B-listed Assembly Hall into an inspiring public place for everyone to meet with free-to-visit exhibitions and a café.

We have currently raised 41% of our crowdfunding target. Every donation, no matter what size, makes a difference, and with some brilliant rewards available you can do something good and get something great in return.
